No, it is not like it is in the movies…

I have a seven month old son.  Because of him and his rather dramatic entrance into this world, I found the section on preterm and low-birthwieght deliveries to be blog-worthy this week.  Noble, our son, thought that it might be a good idea to, at least attempt, to enter the world at around 28 weeks.  Needless to say, nobody else thought that this would be a good idea.  I found the particular section of chapter four, “What Causes Preterm and Low-Birthweight Deliveries?” to be interesting, because at the time of my potential preterm delivery, I was searching for an explanation myself for what was happening.  I had the best care, carefully planned the pregnancy and was in good health.  However, this still proved to not be enough. It was medical intervention that allowed Noble a healthy entrance into the world where he is growing and thriving at par for his age.
